Sustainable development is defined as “development which meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs", by the Brundtland Report. This definition means:

• considering the breadth, depth, and tenure of consequences of decisions. 
• minimizing the impact of economic activities—purchasing products and services, investments of time, money, effort, waste, pollution generated—on the natural and human resources on which they depend.
• preserving the productive capacity of these resources and managing decisions so that these resources are not depleted faster than they can be replenished. 
• measuring and minimizing the consequences of economic decisions on the natural environment, on profitability, and on the social conditions in which people live and work.
• embedding a mindfulness in your personal and business behavior - integrating a holistic approach of mind, body and spirit to the world for today and the future.
